Laura Lorenzen comes to the Quotidian Group with over 20 years’ experience in the Human Resources arena, and over 10 years as an HR executive.
Early in her career, Laura worked in Organizational Development at Verizon Data Services, facilitating team building offsites, strategic planning sessions with executives, and using instruments such as the Myers Briggs and FIRO-B to help build individual self-awareness and to help teams work more effectively together.
In 1995, Laura was recruited to work at a small start-up company called Capital One, which has since grown into one of the nation’s top 10 biggest banks. She rose through the ranks in Human Resources during her tenure there, and in her last 5 years there as Senior Vice President, she managed a large portion of the Human Resources organization, including selection and recruitment, performance management, employee relations, diversity, and talent management.
Laura brings to every consulting engagement a wealth of experience addressing the unique challenges that face growth companies. She is well-equipped to help clients address strategic human resource challenges, working back from organizational priorities. She enjoys conducting team building sessions and facilitating strategic offsite meetings.
Laura received her Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of South Florida. She also completed “Strategic Leadership at the Top,” the prestigious 4-week residency program for senior executives at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. She lives in Tampa with her husband, William and her three children, ages 10, 11, and 12.
